Hi, I'm Sharon—a passionate ux designer with a solid foundation in Visual Communication Design.

I have 3 years of experience in the ux field, having previously worked at Aura Labs. My journey into design

My journey into design

My design journey started back in high school. I often spent extra time decorating assignments on Excel and Word documents, even when it wasn't part of the criteria. This early love for visual aesthetics guided me to choose design as my university major. During my studies, I was captivated by the principle that form follows function and the profound impact design can have on people’s lives.

Transition to UX

Transition to UX

While working in graphic design, I always felt drawn towards the digital field. Discovering ux design was a turning point for me. I became fascinated by the theory behind ux: understanding users’ pain points and designing solutions based on their needs.

Personal projects

Personal projects

During breaks between full‑time jobs, I set specific targets to achieve. Before entering the ux field, I aimed to create an animated prototype for user testing, which helped refine my design skills and user‑centric approach. More recently, I challenged myself to build my portfolio website from scratch, rather than relying on pre‑made templates. This project allowed me to showcase my web design and development abilities and commitment to continuous learning and growth.

Hobbies and interests

Hobbies and interests

Outside work, I enjoy meticulous tea tastings and participating in tea ceremonies and Chinese tea brewing classes. These activities allow me to explore various teas’ rich flavours and cultural histories. I also love visiting exhibitions and immersing myself in art, history, and the creativity different cultures offer. Travelling with family and friends is another passion of mine, as it allows me to experience new places and cultures. Additionally, I am meticulous about tracking my daily expenses and keen to learn about us stocks and cryptocurrency investments.
